Mission Statement
The Canadian Financial Crime Academy (CFCA) is dedicated to advancing the knowledge, skills, and professional standards of those working to prevent, detect, and investigate financial crime. Through practical, industry-relevant education and professional certification, CFCA equips compliance professionals, investigators, regulators, and analysts with the tools needed to address the evolving threats of money laundering, fraud, corruption, sanctions evasion, and other financial crimes.
In support of this mission, CFCA collaborates with Dalhousie University to expand access to advanced professional education. Through this partnership, select CFCA programs are offered as university-recognized microcredentials. Students who successfully complete these programs receive both a university-issued microcredential from Dalhousie University and a professional certification from the Canadian Financial Crime Academy, recognizing both the academic achievement and the applied professional competencies developed through the program. This dual-credential approach bridges higher education and industry practice, enabling professionals to gain academically recognized learning while earning specialized certifications designed for real-world financial crime compliance and investigative roles.
